Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses Mechji — customers, sellers and seller staff — and forms part of the Terms of Use.

• Breaking any law, or helping someone else do so.
• Fraud, scams, fake orders or bookings, false refund or return claims, or payment fraud.
• Using Mechji to launder money, finance crime or evade sanctions, tax or other legal obligations.
• Selling or offering items or services listed in the Prohibited & Restricted Items and Services Policy.
• Selling counterfeit goods or infringing anyone's intellectual property.

• Harassing, threatening, bullying, stalking or discriminating against anyone.
• Impersonating a person, business or Mechji, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation.
• Sharing someone's personal information without their permission, or using customer information you received for an order for any other purpose.
• Posting sexual content, violent or hateful content, or content that endangers children.

• Accessing accounts, data or systems without permission, or trying to bypass security, verification, one-time codes or rate limits.
• Uploading malware or anything designed to damage or interfere with Mechji or users' devices.
• Scraping, crawling or collecting data from Mechji by automated means, or copying the service, without our written permission.
• Overloading, disrupting or reverse-engineering Mechji, except where the law allows.
• Creating accounts in bulk or by automated means, or creating new accounts to get around a suspension.
• Sending spam or unsolicited promotions, including through chat.
• Manipulating ratings, reviews, rankings or search results — see the Reviews & Ratings Policy.
• Avoiding Mechji's commission or fees in ways the Vendor Agreement does not allow.

We may remove content, hide listings, limit features, suspend or close accounts, cancel ongoing activity where permitted, keep records, and report matters to authorities where required or appropriate. We act in proportion to the seriousness of the breach and may act without notice where there is risk of harm.

You can report a breach from Help & Support or the "Report" option in the app.

We may update this policy from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.

When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
