Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mechji ("Mechji", "we", "us"). They apply when you use the Mechji app, the Mechji Vendors app or the website at https://www.mechji.com (together, "Mechji").

Other policies form part of these Terms, including the Privacy Policy, Marketplace Terms, Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. If you sell on Mechji, the Vendor Agreement also applies. If a country or regional addendum applies to you, it is shown after these Terms and prevails where they conflict.

By creating an account or using Mechji you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mechji.

You must be able to form a binding contract under the law of your country to create an account. If you use Mechji for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

You may not use Mechji if we have previously suspended or removed your account, unless we agree otherwise.

Registration

Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. We verify email addresses and phone numbers with one-time codes.

Security

Keep your password and one-time codes secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it was caused by our failure. Tell us promptly at mechji247@gmail.com if you suspect misuse. After repeated failed sign-in attempts we temporarily lock the account to protect it.

One account, two profiles

Your account has a customer profile. If you register a business, a seller profile is linked to the same account and you can switch between them. You cannot buy from, book, chat with or review your own business.

Seller staff

Staff accounts that a seller creates for its employees are the seller's responsibility and are governed by the Vendor Agreement.

Mechji provides a platform where independent sellers list products and services and customers find, order and book them. Unless Mechji is expressly shown as the seller, the contract for a product or service is between you and the seller, and the seller is responsible for the product or service, its description, price, quality, safety, legality, delivery, returns and refunds.

Mechji is not a party to that contract, does not own or inspect the items or services listed, and does not guarantee a seller's performance. We do verify sellers before they can sell, set rules for sellers, provide tools such as one-time codes to confirm deliveries and services, and help resolve problems through Help & Support.

How ordering, booking, paying, cancelling and returning work is set out in the Marketplace Terms, Product Purchase Terms, Service Booking Terms, Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Sellers set their own prices. You pay the seller directly using a method the seller accepts, such as cash on delivery or UPI. Mechji does not collect or hold payment for orders or bookings, and is not responsible for payments made to sellers. Fees that sellers pay to Mechji are covered by the Commission, Fees & Settlement Terms and Subscription Terms. See the Payment Terms.

You keep ownership of content you post, such as reviews, photos, chat messages and listings. You give Mechji a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and adapt that content as needed to operate, improve and promote Mechji, for as long as it is on Mechji and for a reasonable time afterwards for backups and records. For listings and store content, the licence is described in the Vendor Agreement.

You must have the rights to what you post, and it must follow the Community Guidelines, Reviews & Ratings Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or restrict features where content breaks these Terms or the law. See the Intellectual Property Policy.

You must not misuse Mechji. The Acceptable Use Policy lists what is not allowed, including fraud, abuse, spam, scraping, interfering with the service and selling prohibited items.

You agree that we can communicate with you electronically — by in-app and push notification, email and SMS — about your account, orders, bookings, payments, security and changes to our terms, and that these communications satisfy any requirement for communications to be in writing. Promotional messages are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. See the Messaging & Notifications Policy.

We work to keep Mechji available but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and may limit use to protect the service.

You can stop using Mechji and delete your account at any time (see the Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy).

We may restrict, suspend or close an account, remove content or listings, or refuse service if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law, created risk or possible legal exposure for Mechji or others, or if required by law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you why and how to contact us through Help & Support if you think we made a mistake.

Sections that by their nature should continue — including content licences, liability, indemnity and disputes — continue after your account ends.

Mechji is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not give warranties about listings, sellers, products or services offered by sellers, or about Mechji being uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Mechji is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Mechji or from products or services provided by sellers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Mechji for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or the law, or from content you post.

If something goes wrong with an order or booking, contact the seller first, then Help & Support. How we handle complaints and disputes between customers and sellers is set out in the Support, Complaints & Grievance Policy and Dispute Resolution Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India; courts at, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights and forum rules that apply where you live.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.

When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
