How buying and booking from sellers on Mechji works, and who is responsible for what.
At a glance
Independent businesses and individuals verified by Mechji. They list products and services, set prices, accept or decline orders and bookings, deliver or perform them, collect payment and handle returns and refunds.
Order products and book services from sellers, pay the seller, and follow the seller's and Mechji's rules.
Runs the platform: verifies sellers, shows listings, passes orders and bookings to sellers, provides chat, one-time codes, reviews and Help & Support, and enforces the rules. Mechji is not the seller and does not collect payment for orders or bookings.
An order or booking is a request to the seller. The contract between you and the seller is formed when the seller confirms it (some bookings are confirmed automatically, others need the provider's approval). You will see the status in your orders or bookings.
You pay the seller directly, using a method the seller accepts (for example cash on delivery or UPI). The seller records the payment on Mechji. Mechji does not take payment for orders or bookings, so refunds for them are made by the seller. See the Payment Terms.
Sellers deliver products themselves or through a courier they choose, and perform services themselves or through their staff. See the Product Purchase Terms, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Service Booking Terms.

Contact the seller in chat first. If that does not resolve it, raise a request in Help & Support — see the Support, Complaints & Grievance Policy and Dispute Resolution Policy. Your rights under consumer-protection law are not affected.
Orders and bookings made outside Mechji are not covered by Mechji's tools, one-time codes, reviews or support.
We may update these terms from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.
When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
