Vendor Agreement
The agreement between Mechji and every seller — product sellers, service providers, or both.
At a glance
This Vendor Agreement is between Mechji ("Mechji", "we") and you, the business or individual registering a seller profile ("you", the "Seller"). It applies in addition to the Terms of Use.
Depending on what you sell, the Product Seller Terms (products) and the Service Provider Terms (services) also apply, together with the Vendor Code of Conduct, Vendor Verification Policy, Commission, Fees & Settlement Terms, Subscription Terms, Prohibited & Restricted Items and Services Policy and the customer-facing policies you must honour. If a country addendum applies, it forms part of this agreement.
You accept this agreement when you register a seller profile. The version you accepted and the date are recorded.
You are an independent business. You sell to customers in your own name and are the seller of your products and the provider of your services. Nothing in this agreement makes you Mechji's employee, agent or partner. Mechji provides the marketplace platform and tools.
You must give complete and accurate information and keep it up to date. Mechji reviews every seller before the store goes live and may approve or reject an application, ask for more information, and review your media. See the Vendor Verification Policy.
You must process orders and bookings promptly, deliver or perform them as described, use Mechji's delivery, start and completion codes, keep statuses accurate, and honour cancellations, returns and refunds under the Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, your listing and the law.
You pay Mechji commission on completed sales at the rate of your subscription plan, and any fee for a paid plan, as set out in the Commission, Fees & Settlement Terms and Subscription Terms. You must not avoid commission by moving Mechji customers or transactions off the platform.
You are responsible for registering for, charging and paying all taxes on your sales, for your business licences and registrations, and for complying with laws that apply to your products, services, premises, staff and customer data.
You receive customer names, contact details and addresses only to fulfil their orders and bookings, provide support and meet legal obligations. You must not use them for marketing without the customer's consent, sell or share them, or keep them longer than needed. Keep them secure and tell Mechji promptly about any misuse or breach. You are responsible for your staff's handling of customer information.
You may add staff — delivery agents, service agents and store managers. You are responsible for them: their conduct, qualifications, safety, pay and legal status, and the accuracy of the details you enter. You must have the right to give Mechji their personal information, including any identity documents you choose to add, and tell them how it is used (see the Privacy Policy).
You keep ownership of your business name, logo, listings, photos and videos. You give Mechji a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to operate and promote Mechji and your store, including in search, recommendations and promotions, for as long as they are on Mechji and for a reasonable time afterwards. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload. See the Intellectual Property Policy.
Customers can review you. You must not manipulate reviews — see the Reviews & Ratings Policy.
You may close your store at any time. Commission already payable remains payable.
Mechji may pause, suspend or close your store, hide listings or restrict features if you break this agreement or the law, receive serious or repeated complaints, sell prohibited or counterfeit items, fail to pay amounts due, or create risk for customers or Mechji. A suspended store is hidden and cannot receive orders, bookings or chats. Where appropriate and lawful we will tell you the reason. You can ask for a review through Help & Support.
You are responsible for your products, services, staff and premises, and for claims arising from them. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Mechji for losses and costs arising from your breach of this agreement or the law, or from your products, services, staff or content. Mechji's liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms of Use.
We may update this agreement from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.
When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
